How To Setup Events using an Excel File

  1. Open up Microsoft Excel and Create a new Spreadsheet

  2. Across the top we are going to put the names of our company Joe's Hairdressing by :

a) Merging cells in row 1 from column A to G:

b) Setting the font as size 18, Bold and Underlined

c) Setting the cell as Centered

d)Type in Joe's Hairdressing



  1. We are now going to add the Hairdressers names and the times that people can book into onto our booking sheet:

a) In row 2 put in the names Joe, Mary, Sarah, Cloe and Bruce

b) In Column A put in times from 9am to 5pm





  1. Now we can fill in the lunch times for our Hairdressers. Just fill in the word Lunch where you want the Lunch breaks to be:




  1. Now we will create the Booking Slots. Simply put in {} where you want the slots to be created:





  1. Now we are going to add some color and some borders so the sheet looks like this:




  1. Now save the excel spreadsheet in the xls format. Use a name you will remember like JoesHairdressing.xls.

  2. Next logon to your Booking Pad site and click on the 'Event Template' button. Browse for your JoesHairdressing.xls files and click on 'Confirm'.



  1. The event will be created with a Title 'From Spreadsheet'. Open it up and you will see your Booking Sheet all ready to use.



  1. For better looking booking sheets, try experimenting with images and colors.
